Dismissal

It is imperative that all students are picked up on time for the safety of all students. Dismissal will be staggered to follow the social distancing mandate of three feet apart. One adult should meet each student and stand behind the fence until the staff member unites the guardian and child. Parents will not be allowed in the schoolyard since students will be standing three feet apart. The schoolyards are small and will violate the social distancing policy if parents are also in the schoolyard.

Kindergarten is dismissed at 2:50 PM (11:50 AM on half days) in the kindergarten schoolyard.  One adult should meet each student and stand behind the fence until the staff member unites the guardian and child.

First grade will dismiss at 2:50 PM (11:50 AM on half days) in the large schoolyard. One adult should meet each student and should remain behind a social distancing marker on the ground.

Second and third grades will dismiss at 2:52 PM (11:52 AM on half days) in the large schoolyard. One adult should meet each student and should remain behind a social distancing marker on the ground.

Fourth and fifth grades will dismiss at 2:54 PM (11:54 AM on half days) on Porter Street.  One adult should meet each student.

Inclement Weather and School Closings

You may check www.philasd.org; KYW, or any other news outlet to learn if school is closed, delayed, or dismissed early due to inclement weather. If school is delayed by two hours, the school will begin at 10:15 AM.  Students may receive breakfast when they arrive.  There will be a special schedule for days with a two-hour delay. Early dismissal times due to inclement weather may vary based on weather reports and are at the discretion of the Superintendent, Dr. Hite.
